About the Job
We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Tennis & Pickleball Professional to deliver exceptional racquet-sports instruction and programming. The successful candidate will teach private and group lessons, lead clinics and junior development programs, support leagues and tournaments, and help create an inclusive, active, and enjoyable environment for our members and guests This individual must be a skilled communicator, positive coach, reliable team member, and enthusiastic ambassador for both tennis and pickleball.

Essential Duties:
  • Provide safe, engaging private, semi-private, and group instruction in tennis and pickleball for players of varied ages and skill levels.
  • Help supervise leagues, round robins, ladders, social mixers, tournaments, team tennis, and pickleball events.
  • Foster a friendly, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere that welcomes new players and supports retention of current participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, lessons, revenue, inventory, incidents, and program feedback.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:
  • Demonstrated playing and teaching ability in tennis and pickleball.
  • Experience coaching, instructing, leading camps, or facilitating youth and adult recreational programs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to teach players with different learning styles, physical abilities, ages, and competitive goals.
  • Working knowledge of tennis and pickleball rules, scoring, etiquette, safety practices, and basic player-development principles.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak periods.
  • Ability to stand and move actively on court for extended periods; lift and carry instructional equipment and ball hoppers, typically up to 25–50 pounds depending on facility needs.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified period after hire.
  • Successful completion of required background screening.

Preferred:
  • Current tennis and pickleball certifications.
  • Experience with junior tennis pathways, USTA programming, team tennis, league administration, tournament operations, or club/resort recreation.
