About the Job
Part-Time Banquet Support Staff
The Club at Renaissance – Fort Myers, Florida

Position Summary
The Club at Renaissance is seeking a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Banquet Support Staff Member to assist our Food & Beverage team throughout our upcoming event season.

This is a hands-on, event-focused position responsible primarily for the setup and breakdown of banquet and special-event spaces. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, physically capable of moving tables and chairs, and takes pride in helping create a professional and welcoming environment for our members and guests.

This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time, event-based work rather than a traditional full-time schedule. Hours will vary depending on the Club's event calendar and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Set up tables, chairs, linens, staging, and other event equipment according to event specifications and floor plans.
  • Break down event spaces following the conclusion of events.
  • Move, arrange, and store banquet furniture and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with room flips and transitions between events.
  • Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready before guests arrive.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage and Banquet teams with additional setup needs as directed.
  • Help maintain organized banquet storage and equipment areas.
  • Handle Club property and equipment carefully to prevent damage.
  • Respond quickly to changes in event setup or operational needs.
  • Maintain the professional appearance and service standards expected at a private country club.
  • Perform other event-support duties as assigned by Club management.

March 2027: March 4, 5, 6, 21, 28
May 2027: May 15, 30

Additional shifts and event dates may become available throughout the season.
Because this role is designed specifically to support major Club events, reliable attendance and availability for these scheduled dates are essential functions of the position.

Qualifications:
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow event diagrams, instructions, and direction from management.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, event, or country club experience is helpful but not required.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.

Physical Requirements:
This is a physically active position. Candidates must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and regularly moving banquet equipment. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and move up to approximately 50 pounds, including banquet tables, chairs, and event equipment.

Schedule:
Part-Time / Event-Based
Hours will vary depending on the event schedule. Some events may require early-morning setup, while others may require evening or late-night breakdown. Certain major events may require multiple consecutive days of availability.

What We're Looking For:
